Connect’s 10 Key Ingredients For A Sustainable Future

At Connect we continually review our standards for the future, whilst being committed to finding new ways to reduce our environmental impact.

Our passion is fresh food - we work hard to ensure our suppliers deliver the highest quality produce which is rigorously audited and fully traceable, in order for our chefs to create seasonal and delicious dishes every day.

The transparency of our food chain ensures our customers know exactly where their food comes from. Sustainability may be the ‘buzz’ word of the moment, however, at Connect we believe actions speak louder than words.

Our 10 key ingredients for a sustainable future…

1.

Our suppliers are fully audited showing full traceability in the supply chain.

2.

Our meat conforms to strict welfare standards.

3.

We only use free-range British Lion marked or RSPCA assured eggs.

4.

All our fresh milk is from British farms.

5.

All our fish is from sustainable sources and where available is Marine Stewardship Council certified.

6.

Seasonal fruit and vegetables are best, so that’s what we use.

7.

We recycle our used cooking oil which is converted into biofuel.

8.

By 2025 Connect aims to reduce its data storage by 25% to reduce Connect’s CO2 emissions.

9.

We invest in training which is our key ingredient to delivering great food and service.

10.

Collectively we have raised over £201,000 and supported over 4,500 charity hours in the last six years as part of

Connect's Environmental, Social and Governance standards.
